Summer School in Contemporary European History 2021

The Summer School in Contemporary European History, co-organized by PD Dr. Michael Schaich (GHI London) and professor Kiran Klaus Patel (LMU Munich), took place from 7 to 10 September 2021. The Summer School engaged with the topic “British Decolonization in a European Perspective” and focused on the political and cultural impact, which the processes of decolonization had on Great Britain. It brought together advanced BA and MA students from LMU Munich and a range of other German universities. The summer school was taught by professor Sarah Stockwell (Cambridge), Dr. Itay Lotem (Westminster), professor Elizabeth Buettner (Amsterdam) and professor Bénédicte Savoy (Berlin).
