Former Simone Veil Fellow Anastasia Remes has created a virtual exhibition of the ECSC Pavilion at the 1958 Expo

07.08.2023

Former Simone Veil Fellow Anastasia Remes has created the exhibition "The European Community at EXPO 58". It brings the European Coal and Steel Community Pavilion at the 1958 Expo back to life. You are invited to explore a 3D model of the European pavilion at Expo 58 in Brussels through a virtual tour at the Jean Monnet House or online (https://expo-58.historia.europa.eu). Navigate through the various exhibition spaces and open to hotspots to consult a variety of historical sources such as documents, drawings and photographs.
The exhibition is based on Anastasia Remes' PhD research, which she conducted at the History Department of the European University Institute. The exhibition was developed by the Florence-based digital creative studio MONOGRID with the support of the Historical Archives of the European Union and the House of European History.
