Vanished Institutions: The Life and Death of Europe's International Organisations
Initiated in 2022 by Prof. Dr. Kiran Klaus Patel and Prof. Dr. Kenneth Weisbrode (Bilkent University), the project examines the crisis and dissolution of international organizations based on selected case studies. A workshop at PHE in May 2023 brought together twelve scholars from Europe, the USA and Asia among them were renowned historians such as Prof. Dr. Mark Kramer (Harvard University), Prof. Dr. Karen Gram-Skjoldager (Aarhus University), Prof. Dr. Haakon Ikonomou (University of Copenhagen), Dr. Suvi Kansikas (University of Helsinki) and Prof. Dr. Jun Fujisawa (Kobe University). The planned outcome is a Special Issue, comprising eight empirical articles and an introduction (Prof. Dr. Kiran Klaus Patel & Prof. Dr. Kenneth Weisbrode), in the Journal of Modern European History.
